The Jacobs/City YMCA Program Center is located in Jacobs Park (on Fairview, just south of Prince). Managed by the Lohse Family YMCA, we offer several programs for school age children, teens and families.
Fun, friends, field trips, fitness and more! We provide transportation from area schools to the Jacobs/City YMCA for after school fun for ages 5 to 14 (child must be 5 as of January 1st of current year). We are open until 6:00pm.
Transportation for school age child care is available from the following schools as long as we have a minimum of 5 students per location.

We also offer “Fun Days”- full-day programs for school holidays like Rodeo Days, Spring Break, Veteran’s Day and Winter Break. These full day programs are available from 7:00am - 6:00pm.
DES child care is accepted, limited YMCA financial assistance is also available. Schools currently served are: (Amphi) Nash, Prince, Lulu Walker, Rio Vista and Holaway; (Flowing Wells) Centennial, Homer Davis and Walter Douglas; (TUSD) Robins, Brichta and Tully. The YMCA offers children ages 5 – 12 a great Summer Day Camp experience at the Jacobs YMCA! Children get a summer full of self-discovery, adventure, fun and learning that will last a lifetime. We fill the days with fun activities that foster caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Children participate in a variety of arts, crafts, sports, games, learning activities, and field trips. Swimming at the local pool and outdoor water play are a highlight every summer!
Registration fees of $115 per week include breakfast, lunch plus an afternoon snack, and camp hours are from 7am – 6pm. Field trip fees are not included. Free transportation is available to the Jacobs YMCA from the downtown YMCA and back on a daily basis as needed. DES Child Care is accepted and limited financial assistance is available through our application process. Download the registration packet, or you can register online.
L.I.T. “Leaders in Training" Summer Day Camp
Children ages 13-14 can participate in a fun summer of leadership and service learning! Camp counselors help campers learn the importance and rewards of service work, respect, leadership, good choices, and a positive outlook. Activities include fieldtrips, swimming, service projects, art and music, group team work and more!
Registration fees include breakfast, lunch plus an afternoon snack, and camp hours are from 7am – 6pm. Field trip fees are not included. Free transportation is available to the Jacobs YMCA from the downtown YMCA and back on daily basis as needed.Camp fees are $90 per week. DES Child Care is accepted and limited financial assistance is available through our application process.
Gymnastics
Students ages 5-14 will work to develop coordination, balance, fitness, and self-confidence in a safe and fun environment. Our goal is to have fun while improving gymnastics skills, muscle development and coordination. Gymnastics is held at the Jacobs/City YMCA Program Center from 5:00pm to 5:45pm on Tuesdays (no class on March 16, August 31, November 23 and all of June). Classes are $20 a month for facility members and $25 a month for program members. Register today!
Itty Bitty Sports
This is a program for parents and children ages 3 to 5. Parents get to participate with their child and must be present for all classes. The fundamentals of basketball, soccer, flag football and tee ball are taught in monthly segments in a non-competitive environment. Indoor Itty Bitty is held at the Lohse Family YMCA Wednesday nights from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Outdoor Itty Bitty is held at the Jacob/City YMCA on Saturday mornings from 9:00am - 10:00am. Each class is an hour long with a maximum of 25 participants. The fee is $20 for Facility Members and $25 for Program Members per monthly session.* Registration forms and payment are due before the first class of the session.
