Camp Wannago Summer Camp
Camp Wannago is a great place for your child to spend their summer days! Camp is open to kids from Kindergarten to 12 years old. Each day is filled with fun events and activities like swimming, sports, educational programs and field trips.

Camp Wannago is offered at the Mulcahy YMCA from 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Your child can also go to Camp Wannago at Great Expectations Academy in Sahuarita from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Campers at Mulcahy will be provided with a nutritious breakfast, and campers at both locations will be given lunch and a snack. You can register online, or download our registration packet.

Summer day camp is $115 per week. A YMCA Family Membership or Program Membership ($20 per year) is required.

 

Fun Factory After School Enrichment Program
Character development is at the heart of all YMCA programming. We believe and teach four character values in all that we do: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our staff has developed age appropriate activities that are play-orientated. We promote physical, social, emotional and cognitive development to help reinforce a foundation of lifelong learning. Whether it's building a fort, playing soccer, doing arts and crafts or finishing their homework, a day at the Fun Factory offers each child a well-rounded selection of activities.

Each year, the Mulcahy YMCA Fun Factory serves more than 2,500 children from the Sunnyside School District. Our site is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Child care staff have background checks done by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, are first aid and CPR certified and receive 12 hours of training yearly.

The Mulcahy Y offers parents who can't be home when school lets out a safe and supervised place for their children. Children in our program experience a wide variety of healthy and educational activities. They can receive help with their homework. They can continue their learning after school with cooking classes, science experiments, drama, dance and team sports. They can spend time with their friends while they make new ones.

We have partnered with 9 Sunnyside schools to offer child care. We run our morning programs from the schools themselves, starting at 6:00am. Children in our after school program will be transported from their school to the Mulcahy YMCA, even on early dismissal days. The after school program ends at 6:00pm. Our partner schools are:

We also have an on site program at the Great Expectations Academy in Sahuarita (1466 W. Camino Antigua). At GEA we offer after school care from dismissal to 6:00pm.

School age child care is sold by the week. You may choose to have your child attend only before school for $26 per week, only after school for $60 per week or before and after school for $68. A YMCA Family Membership or Program Membership ($20 per year) is required.

Financial Assistance is available for some families (based on income) through the Department of Economic Security Child Care Division (DES). Thanks to the generous gifts of individuals and companies in our community, we are also able to offer assistance to some families through the YMCA Financial Assistance Program. Assistance is limited by the resources we have available, so we recommend that you apply as early as possible.
