Summer Camp at the Triangle Y Ranch
At the Triangle Y Ranch we have summer camp programs for children as young as 6 all the way up to 17 year old teens. All campers get to participate in a variety of activities, including: nature programs, storytelling, skits, horseback riding, crafts, sports, swimming, hiking and archery. They also get to experience the accomplishment of conquering our challenge course and climbing wall.
Summer camp isn't just for kids. The whole family can experience camp with our 9th Annual Labor Day Family Camp!

Mini Camp
Mini Camp is for campers between 6 and 9 years old who are not quite ready to stay away from home for an entire week. The camp lasts for 4 days and 3 nights, beginning on June 6th (Sunday) and ending on June 9th (Wednesday). This program has 2 counselors for every 10 campers.
Explorer Camp
Designed for younger campers between 7 and 9 years old, Explorer Camp offers a variety of fun and structured activities. For many campers, this may be their first time away from home. If a child is having trouble adapting to the camp environment our trained counselors will help them join in activities, build self-esteem and make new friends. You can be sure our counselors will provide all the supervision and guidance your child needs.
Trailblazer Camp
Trailblazer Camp is for children between 10 and 12 years old. We've taken the best from Explorer Camp and added in some of the challenges from High Adventure to create this memorable experience. Trailblazer Camp will help your child discover their personal resources and increase their self esteem through challenging and fun activities. Campers develop confidence in themselves and trust in others by rock climbing, flying down our zip line or conquering the challenge course and climbing wall. They'll also learn personal responsibility through horseback riding, riflery and overnight camping.
High Adventure Camp
High Adventure Camp is the ultimate challenge for seasoned campers between 13 and 15 years old. Campers will be taught how to conquer challenges and meet their goals by working with a group. Whether they're finding new things by exploring a cave, turning fear into elation by rappelling, or making new friends while biking through the mountains, campers will be having a great time while learning positive values. By blending the traditional camp experience with a focus on personal development we're able to create an experience campers will never forget!
Mustang Camp
Not everyone can own a horse, but our Mustang Camp allows everyone to experience what it's like. Our staff love riding, and if your child is fascinated by horses this camp will be a perfect fit. In addition to the regular camp activities, each child is assigned a horse to ride and care for as their own. They'll learn responsibility by feeding and grooming their horse and gain self confidence when they get to head out on the trails. This camp fills up fast!
Leaders in Training
This is a program for teens between 15 and 17 who want to increase their leadership skills. Leaders in Training assist counselors and other camp staff in providing a caring and exciting experience for campers at the YMCA Triangle Y Ranch. Sessions last one week and are available throughout the summer camp season. There is a maximum of 16 LITs per session. Because of the high demand for this program, LITs may only attend one session each summer.
Counselors/Wranglers in Training
Once a teen has completed the Leaders in Training program, they become eligible for Counselors/Wranglers in Training. This 2 week program builds on the skills learned in LIT. Interested teens must fill out an application and include three references to be considered for the program. Sessions are available throughout the summer camp season. Applications are accepted after January 3rd for the following summer. Space in the CIT/WIT program is limited to 8 per session, so applying early is recommended.
Labor Day Family Camp
We have a weekend of fun and relaxation planned for the 9th annual Labor Day Family Camp. The entire camp will be open to you, so there will be plenty of activities to keep you busy on all 3 days. Of course all activities are optional, so you can choose to just sit back and enjoy the beautiful Catalina Mountains if you like.
