Careers & Volunteering
It takes a diverse group to fulfill the YMCA of Southern Arizona's promise of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. This group is divided into two categories, volunteers and staff.
Volunteering
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the YMCA movement and essential to our success. There are innumerable ways that you can put your skills, life experience and dedication to good use at your YMCA. We appreciate any help you can offer, from a few hours a year to a few hours a day.
You could become a Program Volunteer by being a coach, pitching in with child care or providing leadership to a swim team. The Y has a variety of programs to match your individual talents.
You might feel strongly about our commitment to make the YMCA available to everyone regardless of financial limitations. If so, maybe you'd like to become a Philanthropic Volunteer and assist us in raising the funds that make that possible.
Perhaps you could become a Advisory Volunteer, advising the YMCA about important issues and providing overall direction. Or you could join our Policy Volunteers, and serve as a member of our Board of Directors. You could also take part in a Committee that deals with an issue that you are passionate about.
