The YMCA of Southern Arizona is proud to offer a variety of team sports and group classes for members of all ages.  Not only do we provide a wonderful Youth Sports program, which encompasses sports ranging from t-ball to soccer, but adults can get in on a game of basketball or learn a new skill by taking a karate or spinning class.

All of our full service branches (Lighthouse, Lohse, Northwest and Ott) offer a wide variety of sports programs. We also run sports programs out of the Jacobs/City Program Center.

Youth Sports & Skills
Kids and sports are a perfect match, and they come together perfectly at the YMCAs of Southern Arizona!  Together with the hard working staff and volunteers in our Youth Sports program, kids learn the value of teamwork, pick up new skills, build self confidence and become more energized and responsible.

"Everyone plays and everyone wins” in our sports programs; whether your child enjoys basketball, soccer, t-ball, football, karate or any of the myriad other sports available at our branches.  We also provide opportunities for the littlest members of your family through Itty Bitty Sports. Itty Bitty Sports is a great program that introduces your child to basketball, baseball, soccer and football (activities vary by location) in a fun, non-competitive environment. In addition to learning the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, responsibility and respect, Itty Bitty Sports incorporates parent participation to help strengthen the bond between you and your child. This nine week program is a great way to enhance your child’s development in the game of sports and the game of life!

The Lighthouse, Lohse, Northwest and Ott branches would all love to have your child take part in their sports programs.

Adult Sports, Skills & Group Exercise
Exercise program getting dull? Mix it up through participation in our various sports teams, from volleyball to basketball to golf. Take one of our group exercise classes like spinning, step aerobics or calisthenics. Sign up for a skills class and start learning karate, jujitsu, yoga, pilates and more!  Not only will you enhance your routine, but you can meet other YMCA health seekers and share in the experience of learning something new!

We have plenty of program offerings to keep you busy at our YMCAs.  For those with a competitive streak, both Lohse and Northwest offer adult basketball and volleyball leagues. Ott offers arena soccer and golf lessons, in addition to martial arts classes.
