GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY
At the Y, we believe in social responsibility — the importance of being there for people when they are in need. We invest in our kids, health, and neighbors, and we provide opportunities for everyone to get involved and give back to our community.
Y volunteers give men, women, and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure. Check out the volunteer opportunities below to see how you can get involved.
Sports Coach
Being a volunteer coach for the YMCA is not just an opportunity to put your athletic experience to work. Coaching at the Y allows you to make a difference in your community and in the lives of local children. Become a mentor by teaching kids the Y way to play!
Volunteer Coaches are needed for youth sports throughout the year. Sports vary by location and include basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, itty-bitty sports, and more.
YMCA Advocate
Every year, more than 250 Volunteers participate in raising awareness and encouraging financial giving at the Y. Volunteers join forces to raise support by calling friends, colleagues, and other contacts. Their supports provides more than 8,000 people with financial assistance for those who can not afford it otherwise. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to provide opportunities for all.
