Discover an exceptional Before & After School Accredited program at the YMCA of Southern Arizona that transcends traditional classroom learning. Children are celebrated for their individuality and immersed in diverse activities that foster holistic growth and development.
Beyond its common association with science and math, the engineering design process accommodates various child interests. Our program integrates nine key components throughout the academic year: 21st Century Skills, Arts, College and Career Readiness, Family and Parent Engagement, Global Learning and Inclusion, Health and Wellness, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development, and Service Learning. Daily offerings include homework support, nutritious snacks, and physical activities.

MONTHLY PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Payments will be due and automatically scheduled to process once a month on the 25th for the following month. (Example: For programming offered during the month of September, payment will be due August 25th.) Monthly payments will be based on the number of days that the program is offered while children are in school and will reflect the weekly rates listed in the pricing dropdown

Q: What are the hours of operation for the after school program?
A: The after-school program runs from school dismissal to 6:00 pm..
Q: What ages are eligible for the after school programs?
A: Children ages 5-12 are eligible for the program, some sites allow up to 14 years old.
Q: Is transportation provided from school?
A: Yes, transportation is provided for participating schools.
Q: What types of activities are available in the after school program?
A: We offer a variety of activities, including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, and games.
Q: What is the process for enrolling in the after school program?
A: Registration is available online.
***The exception: Families with a DES child care subsidy will need to email youthassist@tucsonymca.org for registration.
Q: Are snacks provided during the program?
A: Yes, healthy snacks are provided during the program.
Q: What is the staff-to-child ratio in the program?
A: The staff-to-child ratio is 1:15, which adheres to state licensing requirements.
Q: Are financial assistance scholarships available for the after school program?
A: Yes. To apply, you must complete the full online application (Click Here), including proof of household income and any other required documentation. Before applying for a YMCA child care scholarship, you are also required to apply for a DES child care subsidy. A DES denial letter dated within the past three months is necessary to move forward with your YMCA scholarship application. Please note that applications for child care scholarships cannot be accepted in person.
