Are you an energetic role model that kids aspire to be like? If so, the Lohse Family YMCA is looking for you! Our Child Watch department is now hiring and looking for the right person to work as an on-call sub for our morning shift from 8:45am-1:00pm at our downtown facility to keep kids occupied and actively engaged in safe age appropriate activities while family members take a break and work out. Qualified applicants will be at least 16 years of age, have current CPR/1st Aid certification or obtain 1st Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire, and have a TB skin test done. No prior experience is required however the desire and energy to work with children is necessary. Candidates age 18 and older will be required to submit a fingerprint card to AZ DPS within 7 days of hire to obtain a fingerprint clearance card. Our Child Watch attendant will be working with another staff member to make the time fly by for kids by playing games, coming up with art projects, reading stories, and engaging kids in activities so their time at the Y is exciting too! Hours will typically range from 5-20 hours a week depending on business needs, staff must also be available to attend and participate in staff meetings and training’s as they occur. A post offer background screening is required. Position will remain open until filled.
