Join the Jacobs/City YMCA Program Center and spend your afternoons making a difference in the lives of school age children. We are looking to hire a driver on a part-time basis to work weekday mornings and/or afternoons as needed. Under the supervision of the Coordinator, the driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of children at our different sites. Drivers also work directly in our after school programs by assisting in the planning and implementation of school age programs. Qualified applicants will be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, possess current infant/child CPR/First Aide CPR certification, a minimum of 6 months previous childcare experience and have a TB test done. Must also have a valid driver’s license, 3 years of driving experience and have the ability to obtain a 3 year driving history from MVD to meet our insurance criteria in order to be eligible to drive a YMCA vehicle. Submittal of fingerprints to AZ DPS must take place within 7 days of hire if candidate does not currently have a fingerprint clearance card. Drivers must also complete and pass a post-offer, pre-hire drug screening. All employees will lead by example to teach children the importance of the YMCA core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. Applicant must be available to work 6:00 am – 9:00 am, and/or 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm Monday-Friday, in addition to attending and participating in staff meetings/trainings as they occur.
