The YMCA of Southern Arizona is looking for safety minded, friendly, enthusiastic individuals to join our team of lifeguards at the Northwest YMCA. As a part-time employee in the aquatics department we need lifeguards that are available to work mornings and weekends as we are open 6 days a week. Qualified lifeguard I applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have a minimum of 3 months aquatics experience. Qualified lifeguard II applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 1 year aquatics experience. Lifeguard I/II applicants must hold current certifications as a YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, have the ability to lift and carry in excess of 50 lbs. and have the visual and auditory ability to respond to emergencies in the aquatics area. Staff must also be available to attend and participate in training’s and in-services as they occur. Current available schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00am -1:00pm. A post-offer drug screening test and background screening are required, position will remain open until filled.
