Join the Northwest YMCA Member Engagement team! We are looking for an outgoing individual to assist us in providing outstanding service to our members, guests and program participants. The qualified applicant will be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 year’s prior experience in customer service, and have the ability to lift and carry 30 pounds. Duties include but are not limited to answering phones, providing members and participants with information about YMCA programs in person and over the phone, providing clerical support, notifying management of any problems or incidents, and using the YMCA computer system to check in and enroll new members. Computer literacy is essential in this position and candidate must have the ability to multi-task, handle cash transactions and receipting while ensuring proper procedures are followed. Applicant must also have the ability to work while standing at least four hours at a time, be available to work a flexible schedule as hours/shifts vary, must be available to work evenings/weekends and must be available to attend and participate in all staff trainings/meeting as they occur. CPR/1st Aid and AED certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire for this position. All employees will lead by example to teach participants the importance of the YMCA core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. This is a part-time position and will remain open until filled.
