SUMMER DAY CAMPs
PRESCHOOL (4*-5 years)
Gear up and get your preschooler ready to learn! Young campers engage in hands-on learning, exploration, social interaction and lots of fun! Caring Y staff lead art, songs, games and outdoor activities that your camper will enjoy. Your preschooler will make new friends in our safe, structured camp. Weekly themes create unique worlds for learning and discovery *Child has to be entering kindergarten Fall of 2015.
Our Summer Day Camps offer your child the opportunity to grow through exploring their outdoors, building self-confidence and independence, learning core values, developing life skills and being actively engaged. We offer two camp options for you and your
child to choose from!
LEADERS IN TRAINING (AGES 12-14)
Make new friends, learn leadership skills and have fun! Teens participate in volunteer opportunities, team building, group work, physical activity, nutrition education and career exploration field trips. Leaders-in-Training Program will get your teen involved and active this summer!
Full week: $120 (breakfast, lunch, snack and field trips included)
4 days: $104 | 3 days: $84 (only meals included)

Week 1: May 26-29
Holidays are usually spent with your family. This year we wanted our campers to have a chance to celebrate with their camp family! Each camper can bring costumes or props from their favorite holiday to join in on the festivities. We could be celebrating anything from St. Patrick’s Day to Thanksgiving…countless ways to make our summer merry and bright!
Week 2: June 1-5
1- Arizona Adventures
Calling all adventurers! Bring your water bottle, a hat and any questions because this week will be spent discovering all that Arizona has to offer by exploring Tucson history and cooling down with some water fun.
2- Y Kid Architects
It’s time to put on your thinking cap campers! Ever feel the urge to build? Campers will discover their inner architect by building with everyday items.
Week 3: June 8-12
1- Fun & Fitness
Wear some comfy shoes! This week we make fun fitness our main goal! Learning how to maintain a healthy balance with mind and body; and cooling down with some water fun.
All an artists needs is a little imagination and some materials. Campers will discover their artistic side and let their imaginations soar during Imaginarium week. Campers will create masterpieces to take home and enjoy!
Week 4: June 16-20
1- Around the world in five days
This summer, campers will spend the week journeying around the world with the YMCA. Everyday a different continent. Every activity a chance to explore a new culture.
2-Move it to the music
Music & movement week let’s us explore the various genres of music and dance that we incorporate in our daily lives. It has our campers appreciate a different expression of art and culture.
Week 5: June 23-27
1- Splash and Dash
Join us for wacky and wild water games all week long.
2- Local Heroes
This week we’ll inspire the next generation of Heroes by introducing the many career opportunities in our local community!
Week 6: June 30- July 4
Stars and strips (week of 4th of July)
Every heart beats true ‘neath the Red, White & Blue! Celebrating our love for America and show our Stars & Stripes Pride!
Week 7: July 6-10
1-Pay it Forward
Pay it forward means to giving back. This week camper will collaborate to Pay it Forward. Campers will develop what it means to be a community, a team and a friend.
2- EXtreme challenge
Campers will learn to work together to complete the Xtreme challenges.
Week 8: July 13-17
Lace up those sneakers, put on your shorts. It’s time to have a ball with an assortment of sports! Sports camp is a safe, fun, noncompetitive program designed to build teamwork, leadership skills, and self-esteem.
2- Science Detectives
As a Science Detective campers will take on the missions to predict experiment and discover their inner scientist. From the outer reaches of space to the center of the Earth What kind of scientist will you become?
Week 9: July 20-24
1- The Y-lympics
Are you ready for adventure? Get ready for the Y’try-athalon”. Bring your moral compass and sense of journey because this week is full of fun challenges, games, and activities that will challenge each camper to be more and try more! Set your goals high and achieve this summer.
2- Bookworm Bonanza
Book worm week investigates the true meanings of our favorite bed time stories, novels and nursery rhymes. Let’s dig in & see what we find.
Week 10: July 27-31
Celebrate the end of summer by reliving all the highlights. What will be your camper’s favorite part of summer?
Week 11: Aug 3-5
Summer Replay part 2
These last 3 days let’s end the summer with a BLAST!
